The Role

As the founding member of the product team, you'll help us rebuild home financing from first principles. You will have the opportunity to develop the systems, tools, and processes that power a more flexible and affordable form of home ownership.

You’ll have the opportunity to partner with the co-founders, engineering, & design teams to set the foundation for the Product team, including setting team process & cultural norms.

You’ll be responsible for managing the product throughout the entire product life-cycle, including setting strategic goals, problem definition, product definition, product delivery, growth, and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision, strategy, & roadmap.
  • Define aggressive but achievable goals and success metrics for the product.
  • Translate high-level ideas into detailed plans.
  • Create reports and presentations that can effectively communicate opportunities at all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Analytics teams to build and execute against the product roadmap.
  • Constantly talking to our customers, both internal & external, and obsessively iterating on the product to make it 1% better every day.
  • Identify improvements with qualitative, quantitative, and market data, then translating into opportunities for further company growth.

About you:

  • Excited to build zero → one, creating products from scratch that drive company growth.
  • A bias towards action and working backwards from the customer.
  • Incredibly data driven and a first principles thinker.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate product and go-to-market concepts across a diverse set of stakeholders, in a remote environment & across multiple time zones.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience defining and measuring product metrics.
  • Expertise in agile software development practices.
  • You are relentlessly resourceful and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • There is no requirement when it comes to experience, and we encourage anyone who meets the above criteria to apply. Typically people with 4-7 years of experience in product management have developed the tactical skills to be successful in this role.
  • Bonus points:
    • Prior experience as a company founder or working at early stage companies.
    • Proven ability to take a product from the earliest conception to successful market adoption.
    • Familiarity with consumer credit products (credit cards, unsecured loans, auto loans, etc.), residential real estate, or other complex consumer and/or financial products.
    • Experience working in risk platforms, payment platforms, or growth products.
